Três projetos em torno da escola, cultura e cultura escolar

This article deals with three research projects from the Program of Postgraduate Studies on Education: History, Politics, Society. They are projects that are an outcome of the main theme School and Culture, emphasized by the Program, and their purpose is to relate students´and teachers´ research. The theme of the first project presented is the Pedagogical models, cultural practices and school form: issues associated with the history of primary school in Brazil, and it covers the period from 1750 through 1940. The second project exposed deals with Americanism and Education: the fabrication of the new man, with milestones ranging from the mid-19th century and the mid-20th century. The third project, focusing on School Disciplines, does not limit a period to be examined, as it intends to search the processes of disciplinarization or departmentalization of the elementary and academic knowledge.
