Promoting student retention is essential to ensure that everyone has access to quality education and equalopportunities. This is a challenge experienced by educational systems, being the subject of reflection and
criticism. A dialogue that will certainly bring even more contributions to Brazilian education.
Researching this subject is becoming more intriguing every day given the socio-historical context
experienced by the Federal Institutes of Technical and Technological Education.
Therefore, the objective of this review is to present the evaluation of the article
“The Influence of teaching pedagogical practices on student evasion in the technical course”
submitted to open evaluation by the journal Educação em Revista, linked to the Postgraduate Program
in Education of the Faculty of Education (FAE) of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG)
presenting the analysis of the proposal mainly with regard to teaching pedagogical practices.
