Abstract

Role Playing Game (RPG) is an educational game that consists of creating fiction and playing characters who help each other to achieve a specific goal. Thus, this article aimed to develop an RPG game, analyzing how it can act as a data collection instrument, awakening the domain of evaluation, according to the Taxonomy of Educational Objectives, in students of a Chemistry Degree course. To this end, a qualitative case study investigation was carried out, in which twenty-nine students of a Chemistry teacher training course participated in an RPG game and their participation was recorded in audio that was transcribed and analyzed through the Content Analysis technique. Thus, the RPG game developed was able to awaken in students skills related to the domain: evaluation, which makes RPG games a possibility of collecting data to assess the learning of scientific concepts.
