Abstract

The poem “Anjo Sujo” revisits mythical and marginal figures of football to probe the boundary between glory and failure. Its lyric brings the sporting field into an existential dimension, where the anti-hero takes center stage. Among figures such as Garrincha, Maradona, Pelé, and goalkeeper Muralha, images of crooked angels, controversial gestures, and human falls emerge, deconstructing the romantic ideal of victory. In this way, the poem affirms itself as a space of memory, critique, and symbolic reinvention of the game.
