Nodes Between The Woof: an “Indisciplinar” cartography of izidora

Abstract

This text belongs to Julia Franzoni doctoral’s work, whose research integrates the project “Biopolitical Urbanism” of the Indisciplinar Research Group, in the realm called “Izidora”. The research process is carried out in a collaborative and networked manner by researchers from the Group with members of the Resiste Izidora network. The graphic work as well as the test of the presented reflections are produced together with Daniela Faria, researcher of Indisciplinar, and supervised by professor Natacha Rena. In this excerpt, experiences of situated knowledge produced in and about the resistance struggle of the occupations of the Izidora region in Belo Horizonte are narrated from the lines drawn by the indisciplinar cartographic method, committed to the hypothesis of an “ontoepistemology” whose ethical direction is the events. This essay unfolds about the relationship between research procedures and the ethical and political demands of the conflict, presenting part of the trajectory and discussing tactics and strategies of the activist research, its devices and unfolding, with the objective of discussing the limits and the potentialities of mapping (acting) in the process.
