O tema mítico da árvore cósmica sobre a qual repousa o mundo funde-se com o tema das monarquias mundiais; por si só isso bastaria para apontar uma influência, mas também uma relação muito próxima entre doutrinas judaicas e iranianas. É de se notar, no entanto, que aqui não se trata de uma única árvore com galhos esparsos, mas de várias árvores; a imaginação do visionário deu um salto significativo, nesse aspecto.
