Os refugiados judeus em Portugal: memórias de exílio

Este artigo centra-se na análise de um conjunto de memórias de judeus refugiados em Portugal durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Os dados foram recolhidos mediante entrevistas em profundidade a alguns dos poucos destes refugiados que ficaram, dos milhares que por cá passaram, nos meados do século XX, em fuga do Holocausto e analisados à luz de lentes teóricas da antropologia, por uma metodologia qualitativa. O modelo interpretativo seguido, além do alinhamento histórico necessário, contempla as perspectivas em roda da noção de memória, de refugiado e de ritos de passagem, sobretudo atendendo ao momento da chegada dos judeus em busca de exílio, em Portugal naquela época.
