At present, the rise of the university use of Artificial Intelligence once again raises questions among university professors regarding the specific objectives and alternatives for the evaluation of certain subjects. In the particular case of teaching the History of Psychology in Mexico, the experience of 20 years and the critical reflection converge on the continuous reform of a tool that contributes to the evaluation of the class and overcoming the current paradox that combines the almost absolute accessibility of any text with a growing student reluctance towards reading and writing. The tasks involved and the approach from which the tool is constructed have proved stimulating and interesting for both teachers and students over two decades. This text sets out these reflections, presenting the logic behind the development of the instrument used to evaluate the first historical period reviewed: the Middle Ages.
