Abstract

The present study aims to demonstrate the result of applying the Reading Model for Indexing Photos based on the Complex Method and Primary Image Functions. This model is necessary, since certain collections need, when treating the thematic content of the photos, to contemplate elements that portray the complexity of the photographs in the virtual environment. This research is characterized as qualitative, exploratory and applied and presents the use of two matrices to index the photographs. In the application of the proposed model, five photographs were selected from the Pixabay image bank. Indexing was performed by one of the authors of this research without using controlled vocabulary. As a result, it was found that the proposed model resulted in keywords that may be relevant in a possible search for users.
