Common writings by Silviano Santiago and Mario Bellatin

Abstract

The article proposes to analyze the ways of staging the common in the literary works Machado, by Silviano Santiago, and Flores, by Mario Bellatin. A comparative reading of the two literary works is proposed with the aim of approaching how these texts incorporate elements of contemporary art and communication to stage subjectivities inserted in dimensions of the common. Thus, the appropriation of contemporary aesthetic and communicational forms enables the construction of textualities that function through a relational movement, in a way that subjects live the common by establishing contact with an exteriority capable of expropriating them from identity parameters. The figure of the writer is contaminated with the fictional universe, exposing fragments of his life to also place himself in the movement of subjective expropriation of himself. Finally, these processes of depersonalization are experienced in contexts marked by biopolitical actions of power, whose violence is revealed in the production and imposition of ways of making life.
