Impacto da disseminação da informação sobre transtorno do espectro autista

Várias intervenções podem melhorar a vida e o bem estar de pessoas com transtorno do espectro autista. No entanto, muitas decisões precisam ser informadas e compartilhadas entre profissionais de saúde, famílias e pessoas nessa condição. Este estudo quantitativo longitudinal focou na análise do impacto da disseminação de oito conteúdos informacionais sobre autismo durante a consulta psicológica para 73 familiares e cuidadores de crianças e adolescentes autistas, na Região Norte do Brasil, durante 10 semanas. A maioria dos participantes foram mulheres pardas com ensino médio completo e renda média de três salários mínimos. Das 584 avaliações emitidas pelos 73 participantes sobre os oito conteúdos informacionais, 583 (99,8%) indicam que o conteúdo recebido foi compreendido bem ou muito bem. Adicionalmente, a maior parte das avaliações expressou que a informação recebida ajudou o participante a compreender melhor o autismo (435, 74,6%) e que estará melhor preparado para discutir o autismo com alguém (361, 61,9%). Em relação ao canal de comunicação preferido para receber informações, os participantes indicam o WhatsApp (72,6%) e o Instagram (46,6%). Pelo exposto, a disseminação da informação sobre autismo trouxe um impacto positivo para os participantes, agregando a eles ainda a vontade de seguir estudando ou aprendendo sobre o tema.
