Abstract

This paper explores how artificial intelligence (AI) can optimize the management and production of television audiovisual archives, while also highlighting its role in preserving cultural heritage. Objective: The primary objective is to analyze and assess existing AI tools to evaluate their potential for generating new audiovisual products from large television collections. Methodology: The methodology includes a literature review and an analysis of AI applications. Results: The study evaluates these tools based on variables such as automation, versatility, efficiency, data analysis, and scalability. The highest-rated tools are Newsbridge, DeepBrain AI, Showrunner AI, Runway ML, and Wedit. The study concludes that AI provides opportunities and potential for the directed-semi-automatic or automatic generation of new television audiovisual content, utilizing preserved collections from television archives.
