Abstract

This paper analyzes and discusses the construction of the performance of Sonetos de Amor (Sonnets of Love), for flute and piano, work composed in 1999 by Felipe Kirst Adami. The work was inspired by the poetry collection Cien Sonetos de Amor by Pablo Neruda, having been recorded on CD Sonetos de Amor e Morte (Sonnets of Love and Death) by Luciane Cuervo. In this paper, the researcher and interpreter reflects on the context of the composition and its creator, as well as analyzes the idiomatic writing for the instruments and their interpretation, seeking to provide elements for future performers and composers interested in these instruments. The paper is organized in four parts, similarly to the four movements of the work: Morning, Noon, Evening, Night.
