Thematic Section - RePercussions
No. 43 (2023)Per Musi Revista Acadêmica de Música, in partnership with the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de Goiás (IFG), the Experimental Nucleus for Teaching, Research and Performance in Percussion (NΞP3/IFG) and the Incomum Grupo de Pesquisa (IFG), is proud to announce the Thematic Session RePercussões (RePercussions), dedicated to Percussion Music. Aware to the strong shift, which took place in the XXI century, of research on this musical practice in an international sphere, this session seeks to cover the heterogeneity that the word Percussion and its ramifications encompass: from tradition to avant-garde experimentalism, from folk manifestations to concert halls, from the streets to the stage, from the backyard to the classroom. The Editorial Board will accept original proposals that address themes necessarily involving percussion in its different fields of research and action: musical performance; organology; education and/or music teaching; analysis; notation; technological development/innovation; ethnomusicology; musictherapy; musicology. Proposals must be submitted by October 31, 2023 and should strictly follow the submission guidelines available on this website.
