O objeto de estudo desta pesquisa são os processos formativos dos professores em início de carreira a partir de suas narrativas autobiográficas orais e escritas, motivadas pela seguinte questão-norteadora: quais experiências vivenciadas pelos professores do curso de Letras-Inglês, antes do exercício da profissão e no início da carreira, configuram-se formadoras do profissional ingresso como docente do Ensino Superior?
