This study aims to promote a theoretical-reflexive thesis on the broad concept of health under the perspective of citizenship; it aims to discuss the interrelationship between them and to instigate the reader to critically (re) think how citizenship could represent health. We highlight questions about individual and collective autonomy using the process of empowerment to promote a critical and reflexive awareness of the civil rights. To reach such goals, we used some ideas proposed by Paulo Freire and Canguilhem, which will explicit the individual/collective autonomy process to acquire and maintain health; and the construction of a social "normality" seen under the perspective of attention to the rights and duties of a citizen in a responsible relationship between State and population.Downloads
