Abstract

This study is the outcome of the project "The Curriculum of the Nursing Graduate Course of the Federal University of Minas Gerais under evaluation: a contribution to improve its quality". Its purpose was to evaluate the agreement of the curricular change proposals and the planning of new curriculum subjects. Through documental analysis, it was ascertained that the content of the basic course does not correspond to nursing practice. Both repetition and gaps were observed in the content of the Nursing School subjects and the need for a better fit to the theoretical/methodological concept of the new curriculum.
