Abstract

This study was done to verify the contribution of the research activity, linked to the Institutional Program of Scholarship of Scientific Initiation of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (PIBIC), in the professional practice of the nurse. The results indicated that most of the egresses of PIBIC didn't incorporate the research activity in the professional practice and that entered in the labor market without perspective of continuing its improvement through to masters degree, that is the main objective of PIBIC.
