This is an exploratory research with a qualitative approach that aims to assess the impact of the teaching-learning process on the life and health quality of undergraduate healthcare students in a university of Santa Catarina.Twenty-one students from seven courses whose profile filled the criteria of inclusion participated in the study. Data were collected through in-depth interview, in several places where the process of teaching-learning was being developed. The results reveal the social complexity of the process of teaching-learning and factors which can limit or promote students' well-being. These factors derive from the interaction that students develop with fellows, teachers, employees and people who work in places involved in educational activities. The attribute"humanization", represented by signs of acceptance and respect, stands out as an element that promotes a healthy academic environment for the students. On the other hand, lack of this attribute in people involved in academic activities compromises the quality of life and health of the studentsDownloads
