Abstract

Bené Fonteles’ artistic trajectory is revisited by shedding light on his main cultural activities and creations dedicated to ecology, and especially the ones that were devoted to arouse the public and collective interest in terms of preservation of water resources. The aim is to primarily contextualize and present Fonteles’ own text in which he describes his performance within the Artists’ Movement for Nature (MAPN) and explains the conception that grounded the installation named Meeting of Waters II, one of his most recent projects.
