INTERACTIVE METHODOLOGIES FOR ADOLESCENTS: PREVENTION OF ACUTE EVENTS THROUGH HEALTH EDUCATION

The role of the school in the construction of references to health promotion has been increasingly debated. In this sense, the present study aimed to measure the impact of educational activities on Myocardial Infarction (MI) and stroke in adolescents. This is a cross-sectional, quantitative study with 2nd year high school students. The educational activity consisted of a game in which the students had to answer challenges about MI and stroke. The same questionnaire prepared by the authors before and after the educational action was applied, as well as another one used for sample calculation and sociodemographic data collection. 273 and 262 students answered the pre-action and post-action questionnaires, respectively. Initially, the average of correct answers was 44.78% in the MI theme and 30.3% in the stroke theme, with anatomy and physiology being the axes with the most errors and those that asked about risk factors the most correct. In the final questionnaire, a percentage of correct answers of 78.63% was obtained in the MI questions and 65.27% in the stroke questions. Anatomy and physiology remained the most wrong questions, while common sense questions were the most correct.
