Abstract

This paper presents the contributions of the philosopher Gilbert Simondon to Aesthetics and to the elucidation of the aesthetic object. It seeks to understand the characteristics that define the aesthetic character of an object. Analyzes basic concepts of the simondian theory as Individuation, associated medium, transduction and metastable equilibrium relating them with aesthetic aspects and more specifically with the universe of art, from examples of occidental art history.
