Amor, morte, fotografia
Keywords:
Roland Barthes, Photography, DeathAbstract
Following the path opened by Roland Barthes’ underground notes in Mourning Diary, we shall attempt to capture the memorial significance of his desire to write on photography. Barthes develops, through the affectionate attachment to his recently deceased mother, a monument-like prose and reveals the intricate relationship between image and death. This article also reverberates his gesture by proposing an amorous exercise of the search, to eventually find in old photographs the lively attachment to the vanished person.
