In this article I deal with two different views on the use of color in 20th century French painting: Robert Delaunay's and Yves Klein's. Separated by an interval of almost fifty years, the two artists dedicated themselves to experimenting with color in their paintings. Based on the writings about the art of each of them and, mainly, on their own writings, I try to circumscribe in this article the vision, the conception that both had about the importance of working with color in 20th century French painting
