Abstract

In this visual essay I expose a series of pictorial experiments that unfold from my poetic
investigations that sought to think about the relationship between time and painting, flow
and metamorphosis. The series of kinetic paintings presented here addresses time through
recording ephemeral aspects of the landscape. I present artistic objects composed of the
combination of multiple temporalities that coexist in continuous movement, proposing
landscapes in constant transformation from the perspective of cyclical, organic and
continuous time as opposed to the linear, mechanical and fragmented time of
contemporary life.

Author Biographies

Eva Alves Lacerda, Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina

Pesquisadora, artista visual e professora. Graduada em Artes Visuais pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM) - 2016, é mestre em Educação pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação (PPE) da UEM (2018). Doutoranda em Processos Artísticos Contemporâneos pelo Programa de Pós Graduação em Artes Visuais da UDESC. É professora formadora em técnicas de desenho, pintura e gravura nos cursos de Design, Arquitetura e Urbanismo e Artes Visuais EAD da Unicesumar. Como artista desenvolve trabalhos que tensionam relações entre tempo, pintura e espaço. Desenvolve pesquisa sobre os seguintes temas: Poéticas Visuais, Pintura Contemporânea, Feminismo e Estudos Culturais.

PhD Fine Arts (2003) e MA Fine Arts (1999) - Northumbria University, Newcastle, UK. Pos-Doutorado UCS/CNPq. Professora efetiva da Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina, com experiência na área de Artes, com ênfase em Video Arte, pintura, multimeios, investigando principalmente os seguintes temas: colaboração artística, arte&ciência, ambientalismo e feminismos. www.silvanamacedo.com
