Abstract

The  world  of  museums  has  been  feeling  extreme  and  deep  transformations.  The  phenomenon  is  global  and  it  attests  a  profound  change  in  the  relationship  that  contemporary  so-cieties  have  with  the  art  and  culture.  How  architecture,  the  landscape and the displacement of new urban centers redefine these spaces? How does the art produce this resymbolisation of the urban body? The example of the Louvre-Lens gives us a privileged access to these issues

  • Jacques Leenhardt
    Philosophe et sociologue, est Directeur d’Études à l’École
    des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales à Paris, directeur
    de l’équipe Fonctions imaginaires et sociales des arts et
    des littératures. Il est Président d’Honneur de l’Association
    Internationale des Critiques d’Art (AICA) et Président de l’As-
    sociation des Amis de Wifredo Lam. Commissaire curateur
    de nombreuses expositions, il est l’auteur entre autres de :
    Michel Corajoud, paysagiste (2000), Érico Veríssimo, o romance
    da história, col. (2001), Conscience du paysage (2002),
