Interview with Pedro Meira Monteiro, professor at Princeton University, in New Jersey, United States, where he heads the Spanish and Portuguese department. Pedro Meira Monteiro holds a PhD in Literary Theory and History from Unicamp, with a postdoctoral degree in Education from the same university, and is a researcher of Brazilian literature and culture with several published books, including Signo e desterro: Sérgio Buarque de Hollanda e a imaginário do Brasil (Editora Hucitec, 2015) and The Other Roots: Wandering Origins in Roots of Brazil and the Impasses of Modernity in Ibero-America (Notre Dame University Press, 2017).
