This essay investigates the relation between the discussion on the concept of “sister arts” and the view that Ángel González’s poetry re-elaborates some of the issues presented especially in two of his poems: “Palabras desprendidas de pinturas de José Hernández” (Procedimientos narrativos, 1972) and “El Cristo de Velázquez” (Prosemas o menos, 1985).
