The article demonstrates how the author Leif Randt, particularly his latest novel Allegro Pastell, stands out from the mainstream of reader-friendly contemporary literature with individual works that, although realistic in principle, offer more than a simple duplication of contemporary reality with its identitarian clichés. Rather, Randt’s clever use of social media forms of communication and linguistic means turns this reality into something strange that invites new insights. The fact that the millennial generation also has its avant-garde impulses in its approach to life is clear from the plot of the novels.
