Este artigo recorre ao autor Leif Randt e, em particular, ao seu último romance Allegro Pastell, para mostrar como obras singulares se destacam da corrente principal da literatura contemporânea de “fácil leitura”. Embora sejam a princípio realistas, elas oferecem mais do que uma simples duplicação da realidade contemporânea com seus clichês identitários. Em vez disso, o uso inteligente que Randt faz das formas de comunicação da mídia social e dos seus recursos linguísticos transforma essa realidade em algo estranho que convida a novas percepções. O fato de a geração do milênio também ter seus impulsos de vanguarda na sua abordagem da vida fica claro no enredo dos seus romances.
