Resumen

Este trabalho analisa alguns textos do romancista contemporâneo Don DeLillo, cuja obra Paul Auster diz ser fundamental para compreender a sociedade norte-americana neste fim de século. Nele pretende-se assinalar a natureza dos temas de sua obra e a relevância dos mesmos para um mundo globalizado, destacando-se os tópicos sobre o poder militar, o terrorismo e o poder do capital, tratando, em especial, a hegemonia das linguagens do poder e a resistência a elas.
