Abstract

Lipomas are benign tumors of the mesenquimal tissue, which are rare in the oral cavity. The aim of the present research is to present a literature review and a report on three cases of intra- oral lipomas. The current reports were found in 2 women and 1 man, and the clinical characteristics of the lipomas were similar to those found in the literature: age (between 40 and 70 years old), yellow- like lesion whose sizes varied between 0.5 and 8 cm, and an absence of symptoms. Two lipomas were located on the buccal mucosa and one on the floor of the mouth. Patient follow-up has been conducted for two years with no traces of recurrence.
