História da matemática: uma prática social de investigação em construção

In order to approach the history of Mathematics and particularly the relationship between this history and the mathematical education, this text highlights the historical constitution and the social practice of investigation of the history of mathematics in the national and international scene. This work also identifies six fields of investigation in the Brazilian academic production about this issue, including the one of Mathematical Education, as well as History in the Mathematical Education.
