DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND HYBRID EDUCATION IN LATIN AMERICA
A LOOK AT CHALLENGES AND STRATEGIES
Keywords:
Hybrid Education, Digital transformation, Latin America, Education and technologies, Covid-19Abstract
This text is a review of the study "Digital Transformation in Hybrid Education: What Are We Doing in Latin America?" The reviewed article highlights the urgent need to address digital transformation in the Latin American region, which is particularly challenging due to social disparities and infrastructure limitations. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated these difficulties, highlighting inequalities in education access and accelerating the integration of digital technologies. The review focuses on two main points of the article: the relevance of digital transformation to education in Latin America and the methodology used in the research, a systematic literature review (SLR), which allows for a detailed bibliometric analysis, but strongly depends on the methodological rigor and the choices made during the research. The study shows how Latin America is responding to changes brought by the global health crisis, using educational technologies and facing challenges such as inequalities in technology access and the need for teacher training. Without intending to exhaust the topic, the review concludes by highlighting the importance of proactive approaches to more inclusive and accessible education that takes advantage of the opportunities of the digital era.
