This paper focus on Fracis Bacons educational ideas. We try to show how theses ideas are part of his critique of the traditional knowledge as well as important elements of his proposal of the advancement of learning. His plans to reform educational practices and institutions reveals characteristics of his conception of science that reinforce its progressive, collaborative and operative aspects.
