'If we talk about killing my words they kill' songs and discursive connection between Latin American 'barras bravas'

Abstract

The chants represent one of the ways in which the barras bravas show their love for their club, since the speeches they contain reaffirm the sense of belonging to the community, building ideal behavior patterns and rivalries, recalling situations and emotions that pass beetwen the fans who sing them. The musical theme "Matador" by the argentine group Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, has transcended its cultural product frontier to become one of the most famous songs in Latin America, which is emulated in at least one barra brava in almost every Hispanic and Lusitanian country of North, Central and South America. There is evidence of a latín american connection between the stands as discursive forums, which is why it was chosen to work with some convergences and divergences in the adaptations of the song “Matador”, proposing a classification model based on the semantic sense and the discursive structure that make them up.
