Abstract

In “Fight at Jandira's house” [clipoem], football serves as a backdrop for revealing the political and emotional tensions that permeate a gathering of friends. The domestic space – initially arranged for the collective celebration of an El Minero match – soon turns into an arena of ideological polarization, setting left- and right-wing friends against each other. Within this atmosphere of dissent, poetry and music – the “Galo clipoems” – emerge as fleeting moments of truce, capable of suspending antagonisms, if only briefly. The lyrical voice, shifting between neutrality and critique, redirects the focus from political confrontation to the intimate sphere, suggesting that the experience of the common – though fragmented and fragile – persists both in the game itself and in the act of stepping away from it.
