Eliezer Ben-Yehuda is widely recognized as a key figure in the revival of the Hebrew language, a unique phenomenon in both the history of Hebrew and the study of linguistics worldwide. His legacy has been fundamental for the development of modern Hebrew and its acceptance as an official language in the State of Israel. Ben-Yehuda's dedication and efforts were instrumental in transforming Hebrew from a liturgical language and historical relic into a living, spoken, and dynamic language, facilitating communication, culture, and education. His legacy is evident today as Hebrew thrives as a living language, vibrant and continually evolving. In this article, I will analyze Ben-Yehuda's contributions to strengthening modern Hebrew, providing examples and explanations that will clarify his contributions while trying to understand the process that led him to make this immense impact.
