It is a research project whose theme is the interaction of users and usability in digital libraries and repositories in times of digital mobility. There is an urgent research challenge on usability and access to digital information that considers access and use across multiple devices. The research is characterized by being of the case study type, of an applied, exploratory nature, and with a qualitative approach in relation to the analysis of the problem. The environment for this study is the Institutional Repository of UFMG. The project will include three methodological steps: (1) literature review; (2) Interfaces analysis of information retrieval systems; and (3) empirical study with users. The theoretical conceptual foundation addresses digital libraries, usability, design and human-computer interaction, the behavior of searching for information in digital media and the use of mobile devices. The approach is multidisciplinary and aims to develop the dialogue between CI and Interaction Design in solving the proposed problem. As a result, it is expected to deepen the knowledge about usability of digital libraries and repositories in the context of digital mobility.
