Preliminary study of scientific production on faceted classification in Brazil

Abstract

This is a preliminary study that aims to identify and analyze the characteristics of scientific production on faceted classification. As methodological procedures, quantitative and qualitative techniques will be used, such as Bibliometrics, Systematic Literature Review and Content Analysis. For this purpose, a mapping of the scientific production present in journal articles, theses, dissertations and works published in annals of scientific events on the Faceted Classification will be carried out. In this mapping, variables such as the authorial productivity of these studies with regard to researchers and institutions involved will be considered; periods of higher productivity, analysis of the content of the investigated works, focusing on the characteristics of keyword incidence, application of the faceted classification, research methods, results achieved and trends. From the analysis of the preliminary data, some characteristics of the studied theme were observed from the point of view of the institutions that stood out in the amount of research carried out, as well as the documentary type identified in the literature of the area.
