Book review of Professional Knowledge in Music Teacher Education. This is the first book that discusses professional knowledge in music teacher education. The book contains 13 chapters written by authors from different countries, organized into three parts with different purposes. They present the many ways of defining the term “professional knowledge” in music education, its importance for music teaching education, its application in the studies of the area, and also the crosschecking of all information in the book in order to highlight its implications for teaching practice.
