Programa ReAção: uma análise das contribuições de uma pesquisa colaborativa com professores para a melhoria do ensino de ciências

Abstract

O ensino de ciências constitui-se em um grande desafio não somente para os educadores, mas também para pesquisadores em nosso país. Num mundo globalizado cujos fundamentos sociais, culturais e econômicos dependem fundamentalmente da Ciência e da Tecnologia, a educação científica torna-se um requisito básico para o exercício da cidadania. Múltiplas iniciativas têm sido adotadas no sentido de contribuir para a melhoria da qualidade do ensino de ciências praticado em nossas escolas: o Programa ReAção é uma delas, resultado de um conjunto de ações desenvolvidas por uma política pública educacional que investiu na melhoria do ensino de ciências do Ensino Fundamental. Nesse trabalho, apresentamos um histórico deste Programa e investigamos a contribuição que uma das ações desenvolvidas nele, a pesquisa colaborativa com um grupo de professoras-multiplicadoras, teve sobre a melhoria do ensino de ciências, avaliado a partir de notas, freqüência e discurso docente.
