Abstract

 

 This article studies the teaching experience of social sciences professors during a writing seminar “the art of writing a thesis” provided at the Social Sciences Ph.D. in the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) during the first four months of 2013 and 2014. From a cultural outlook, it seeks to reconstruct both the institutional decisions made to promote studentship follow-up strategies and the students lettering imaginaries and practices. This idea defines the writing production as an expression of a larger context of academic tradition. Through reflections on this production context, the aim is to enrich the look on postdoctoral teaching and to contribute to the redefinition and curriculum design of writing courses at the postgraduate level.

Diego Pereyra, Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA UNLa), Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Es Sociólogo, Magíster en Investigación Social (UBA) y Doctor of Philosophy [PhD] (Department of Sociology, School of Social Sciences, University of Sussex at Brighton). Su área de investigación es la historia de la sociología y las tradiciones sociológicas como un campo de intersección de la historia intelectual, la sociología política y la sociología de la educación. Actualmente, es Investigador Adjunto del CONICET, con sede en el Instituto de Investigaciones Gino Germani, Facultad de Ciencias Sociales, UBA, y Coordinador de la Comisión en Historia de la Sociología, del Instituto de Investigaciones Sociológicas del Consejo de Profesionales en Sociología, Buenos Aires.

Noelia Cardoso, Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA IIGG), Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Es Socióloga, realizó su maestría en Sociología de la Cultura en IDAES-UNSAM y es doctoranda en Ciencias Sociales (UBA). Es profesora del CBC y adjunta del seminario “El arte de escribir una tesis” en el doctorado de Ciencias Sociales. Se desempeña como investigadora auxiliar en el instituto de Investigaciones Gino Germani (UBA) en el equipo GEHES-HSSA y dirige el proyecto “Memoria histórica y práctica conmemorativa: Himnos, marchas y Rock and roll. Los centenarios patrios de 1910 y del 2010 como espacios de reelaboración de la identidad nacional”.
