The present article reports the experience of three teachers: one of exact disciplines, one of human disciplines and the third, in both areas. All the teachers went through the transition from classroom to remote education, due to the pandemic, in a private higher education institution. The objective was to report the experience mediated by digital information and communication technologies and to describe the extent to which the change caused by remote education has impacted on pedagogical practice, communication and the relationships between peers during this process. Under a theoretical perspective, topics such as cyberculture, teacher training in higher education and narrative research were addressed. We believe that the pandemic has brought singular changes and that the appropriation of certain digital technologies has become vital for remote education, corroborating the contemporary reality of digital culture.
