Covid-19 pandemic demanded rapid change in education in health, without enough time to this implementation. The research’s main objective is to understand perceptions of medicine pediatric residents related to the traineeship in childcare mediated by remote and synchronous supervision. Educational practice was developed from 2020 September to 2021 February, with participation of one preceptor and ten residents from the first stage, in an ambulatory from a university hospital as a scenery to this practice. Related to the methodological way, this study used a qualitative, phenomenological and interpretative approach. The research data is based on semi-structured interviews, recorded in video conferencing sessions. The data had its transcription and a thematic reflexive analyze. Results point the clinical competences had reached their objectives, as anamneses, case discussions and autonomy of residents during medical assistance. However, excellence to the physical examination did not attend participants’ expectations. This study highlighted the lack of appropriate technological resources and the necessity of digital literacy to student body and teaching staff. Telemedicine allows the continuity of the assistance and the promotion of health in a pandemic time, besides contributing to the professional development. It needs, however, the creation of institutional guidelines to qualify this service, based on technical and regulating devices to ensure secure and effective practices to students, preceptors and users.
