Abstract

Human values, as delineated by Schwartz's circumplex model, serve as guiding principles as guiding principles for judgments and decisions in academic and professional contexts. In this sense, this study analyzed empirical articles on human values in initial training across various undergraduate programs, considering both national and international contexts. It also seeks to understand how the theory of values ​​is approached in the investigations carried out at this stage of training and to explore the interrelationships with other relevant variables. This systematic review followed the PRISMA protocol, based on search strategies in relevant databases, resulting in the identification of 14 studies. The analysis revealed variability in approaches to value education, emphasizing its significance in fostering ethical behavior and enhancing pedagogical interventions. However, it is worth noting the lack of studies related to the Brazilian reality, indicating gaps that need to be explored in future research. The study underscores the need for a more effective integration of human values into higher education curricula, offering new directions for pedagogical practices and analysis, as well as directions for future research.
