Por que estudantes universitários apresentam estresse, ansiedade e depressão?
Uma rapid review de estudos longitudinais

Muitos problemas de saúde mental iniciam-se ou são agravados com o ingresso na universidade. O objetivo deste artigo foi identificar fatores relacionados a estresse, ansiedade e depressão em estudantes universitários a partir de estudos longitudinais. Foi realizada uma revisão nas bases de dados: Medline, Web of Science, SCOPUS e PsycInfo. Uma busca adicional foi realizada nos cem primeiros resultados do Google Scholar e nas referências dos artigos elegíveis. Foram identificados dois grupos de fatores: 1) ambientais e/ou sociais: experiências adversas na infância, fragilidade das relações sociais e tempo de exposição às mídias eletrônicas; 2) pessoais: crenças sobre si mesmo, incapacidade de modificar autoatributos, traços de personalidade e cognições disfuncionais ligadas a eventos estressores. Concluiu-se que o conhecimento das causas de estresse, ansiedade e depressão é importante para identificar estudantes em risco e planejar ações que incentivem a busca por ajuda e o desenvolvimento de habilidades para gerenciamento emocional.
