In mental health care, integrality aims to enable an initial contact of patients with mental suffering. It emphasizes the assistential service and the construction of full attention networks in mental health. This article aims to reflect about the concept of integrality and its application in mental health care. It also discusses the importance of integrality in the network of substitute mental health services as a means of promoting new ways of thinking about mental health. With this goal, it is necessary that healthcare professionals provide an integral assistance to the patients by sharing their experiences and stimulating the participation of the family and the community.Downloads
