This article seeks to provide elements so that, rough the study of writer’s biography Portuguese Mario Claudio
on the modernist painter Amadeo de Souza Cardoso, the strategies can be understood. The biographer’s work
means the warp of a refined intertextuality between his books and the paintings of Amadeo. Our interest is to
understand how, trough this cross observations between his literary writing and the plasticity of the pictures of
Souza- Cardoso, the author establishes his narrative strategies, taking advantage of markedly fictional elements
in biographical composition.
