Abstract

Experiences and reflections regarding outreach activities integrated into the curricular
matrix of the Theater Degree Course at the Federal University of Tocantins. The text
draws a parallel between the actor/character relationship and extension agent/community,
in order to indicate reflections on alterity, identity and aesthetic and knowledge
production. It reports on the creative process of the Arekba show and how it is configured
as a theme and cultural element based on interaction with the community. Subsequently,
it describes the creation of the Repete scene, made from reports of personal dreams from
Youth and Adult Education students. It addresses the dialogical interaction between
university and community, its challenges and achievements in both the artistic and
educational spheres.
